Vestcom Looks Forward to Continued Growth in New Century AirCenter

VestcomVestcom employs about 110 people at its New Century AirCenter facility where it prints and distributes shelf-edge marketing materials to regional retail customers.

The company’s 160,000-square-foot property includes a custom printing and labeling facility along with distribution and fulfillment operations.

Founded by Steve Bardwell, the Little Rock, Arkansas-based company has 10 facilities in the United States and serves more than 70 percent of retail food, drug and mass merchants. The company’s shelf-edge marketing programs help retailers cut restocking time and increase sales.

Products include its healthyAisles programs, which provide detailed nutrition information, Integrated Shopper Marketing Ads (ISMAds), which bring advertising to point of decision, and shelfStrips, which improve stocking.

Vestcom created United Price Labels in 1970 to communicate pricing information, unit cost and bar codes on the shelf edge.

James Houvener is director of operations at the facility, located at 301 Gardner Dr., New Century, KS 66031. He can be reached at (913) 764-5550.
