Construction began in December on a new Orscheln Farm and Home store on the south side of Gardner. The new store will be located on 19 acres on the northwest corner of 188th St. and S. Gardner Road with a spring 2016 opening planned.

Orscheln is a midwestern retailer with more than 150 locations. It specializes in livestock feed, automotive, toys, housewares, home and garden supplies. Orscheln officials received site and zoning approval from the plan commission in April of 2015.
