Penny’s Concrete built a new plant in New Century AirCenter in 2015 and added a second plant, which is scheduled to begin production in February 2016. Each plant is capable of producing
between 200 and 300 cubic yards of concrete per hour.

“Our New Century plant helps us focus on supplying the growing intermodal development in Southwest Johnson County, Gardner/Edgerton and in LPKC,” said Cory Claxton, director of ready
mix operations for Penny’s Concrete.

The Southwest Johnson County EDC is grateful for the support and partnership of Penny’s Concrete, which upgraded to a Platinum Investor for 2016 after experiencing the benefits of investing in EDC in 2015.
