Among the many gems located in New Century, Kan., is CFS West Holdings, Inc. (trade name The C.F. Sauer Company), a company that has recently celebrated numerous accomplishments including various awards and facility upgrades. Established in 1887 in Richmond, Va., CFS West Holdings primarily manufactures condiments, but also produces spices, flavorings and sauces.

One of CFS West Holdings’ brands, Duke’s Mayonnaise, recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. Originally available only in the Southeast, Duke’s has been making its way to the Midwest and is now available in many Kansas grocery stores, which is a sign of significant growth. In 2016, The Association for Dressings & Sauces recognized The C.F. Sauer Company as the winner of its 17th annual Package of the Year award. This award was presented for an innovative, stand-up pouch that dispenses Duke’s Mayonnaise.

Operating under the supervision of Plant Manager Ron Beckman, CFS West Holdings, Inc. is one of the many companies that utilizes the easily accessible rail service located at New Century. Beckman says CFS West Holdings has great neighbors and is happy with its New Century location.
