Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, is less than 20 minutes from Southwest Johnson County and offers over 40 programs of study and 100 degree and certificate options.

The University of Missouri – Kansas City is the largest comprehensive, fully accredited university in the Kansas City area. Its campus is located just over 30 minutes from Southwest Johnson County. UMKC supports over 16,000 students with a 1:14 faculty-to-student ratio and offers degrees in more than 125 academic areas.

Avila University, about 25 miles from Southwest Johnson County, is a liberal arts university located in Kansas City, Missouri with an enrollment of approximately 1,300 students. Avila University’s most popular degree programs include nursing, business administration, professional health sciences, and psychology.

The University of Kansas (KU) in Lawrence, Kansas, is about 30 minutes from Southwest Johnson County and averages an enrollment of around 28,500 students across its five campuses.

The Learning and Career Center strives to create training programs that produce excellent employees and deliver employment services to job seekers and companies within the Logistics Park Kansas City and surrounding Southwest Johnson County, Kansas, area.
